Come for a long weekend to the most beautiful part of Balaton, to Tihany! Discover—with your family, friends—the sights of north Balaton, walk the wine routes of Tihany, spend an active rest in our family-friendly, modern apartments and taste local specialties in our restaurant! Weekends in the sign of red wine and gulyas!
We offer our services to to groups in the context of a relaxing weekend in Tihany, where we visit local wine producers with horse carriage, taste their wines and eat a traditionally prepared, genuine gulyas. In the Skansen garden, the music is provided by our accordion player. In our modern apartments you can sleep off the tiredness (from the wine tasting).
Reserve a room for a long weekend in Tihany!
Long weekend first day, Friday:
Arrival Friday in the afternoon hours to the apartments. Choice between 4+1 person, 2 room, with kitchen and shower or 2+1 person, 1 room, with kitchen and shower modern, furnished apartments. In the evening we await you with a hot meal in the Skansen restaurant (good roasts served with red wine and a shot of strong home made fruit pálinka).
Long weekend second day, Saturday:
Saturday morning we set the stage for the wine tasting with some traditional Hungarian peasant breakfast (ham, bacon, red sausage, onions, fried eggs). Of course we already start with some good, home made pálinka, then sit up on the horse carriage arriving at the Skansen garden to pick us up—the we head for the Tihany wine cellars. When someone feels like it, he/she can steer the carriage. After three cellars, the tasting of a number of red and white wines, we return to the Skansen garden with the carriage, and with common effort and slightly dazed eyes we prepare the gulyas—while enjoying a no-limit supply of full bodied Tihany Kékfrankos, Zweigelt and Merlot wines. To keep the mood up, our accordion will provide music, perhaps we even start to sing. When everyone is done eating, somewhat "tired" we start walking towards the apartments in the hope of slightly sobering up. The night is free, everyone should use it in according to their possibility.
Long weekend, last day, Sunday:
Sunday morning breakfast is once again served in the Skansen room, where we await you with a peasant-plate, hot tea, coffee and home produced cow milk to help you lick your wounds—perhaps there will also be some therapeutic pálinka on the table. The rest of the day is free. You can inspect the beautiful church of Tihany or just walk the quiet streets. Take a tour to the Aranyházhoz or the caves, or relax in the covered pools of the Balatonfured water park.
Leaving at 6 pm on Sunday. As something for the road, each participant will receive a 0.5 liter bottle of wine to be able to remember the weekend in Tihany. On demand we can provide supervision of children, soft drinks and teas.
The package is available every weekend from September until end of June. On demand it is also available on weekdays.
Price: 100 Euro/person
From Monday to Wednesday, or Tuesday to Thursday we offer a 20% discount.
